When My Dog Was Lame

When My Dog Was Lame

So a lot of us at the garden center have pets and I, Tracy, am the manager of the Plant and Pet Department and I have two German Shepherd dogs. Jazzmine who is 8 and Sophie who is 5. I’ve had them since little pups.

One day one of my dogs came up “lame” and  of course it was my young energetic nut, Sophie. She all of a sudden wouldn’t jump up on the bed at night. Of course she sleeps at the foot of the bed at night. Something was wrong and I just couldn’t put my finger on it. After I brought her to the vet and we did a bunch of tests and x-rays they sent me to a specialist in Weymouth. There she was put through another bunch of tests and that’s when they told me she needed an MRI. The cost was astronomical!

That’s when I decided to look into a more holistic approach and I found doTERRA essential oils. I went to a training class that taught me how to use these oils to heal my pet. Meanwhile Sophie has had strict crate rest and leash walks. She enjoys her crate but she likes to be free in the backyard because her favorite pastime is chasing the squirrels out of the yard. I started using these oils on her spine to heal the tissue damage. After a 6-month long battle with her being in pain and not able to jump, using these oils along with strict crate rest has healed my girl.

Now she is back to sleeping in bed with us and chasing those squirrels out of the yard. Feeding your pet, a wholesome diet and regular exercise can help reduce these kinds of injuries. At our house the girls enjoy Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream.   :

Since Sophie has healed life is back to normal…she now only has an occasional case of the “crazies.”

That is a fantastic story! I am a chiropractor / yoga teacher / writer so I love to hear people telling their own stories of healing themselves, and in this case their pets through non pharmaceutical / surgical avenues. I’d love to know more about the Essential Oil company and training that you did and if Country Gardens carries that line and offers any of that training. What do you know? Thanks Tracy!
