When a Company is B2P

We frequently hear the term “B2B,” sometimes written B-to-B, which refers to companies whose transactions are business-to-business. While Hyannis Country Garden does provide goods to other businesses such as Cape Cod’s professional landscapers, our main work is B-to-P, that is business to person or people. We’re fortunate to have developed so many personal relationships with customers over the many years that Hyannis Country Garden has been in business.

A recent comment that a customer left on this blog reminded me how fortunate we are to work in a place that not only cultivates beautiful landscapes and indoor greenery, but also sustains personal relationships. I met Julia Oliver several years ago. She lived near West Main Street and was a frequent visitor to Hyannis Country Garden. In fact, her entire family frequently came into the store. At one point I visited her garden for a consultation. A few years ago, however, she and her family moved off-Cape.

Last week Julia commented on our blog post: “I was/am so missing your gardens, my dear Country Garden. Always loved walking over whenever I needed something or really just needing an attitude adjustment. Such a wonderful environment and so refreshing to escape into. The Staff are par excellence. Your place is the only thing I miss and I grieve it almost every day.”

As our 60th anniversary year comes to a close, know that we truly value the fact that we are a P2P business. Country Garden is totally plant-to-people, and product-to-people, as well as people-to-people. We look forward to continuing to cultivate all such relationships with those who grow plants and gardens on Cape Cod. Whether you need a lift-my-spirits houseplant, a problem-solving product, or a wonderful and refreshing environment to escape into, we look forward to being here for you through the holidays and into the New Year.
