Country Garden (Virtual) Cocktail Hour
Thanks to all who joined into our first virtual cocktail hour as we come together to celebrate plants, gardens, and our Cape Cod community. Here are the recipes for the beverages that C.L. presented in our first meeting, and the names of the plants she spoke of.
Each recipe makes two cocktails
Rosemary Gin-Gin
2 oz herbal gin
1 oz ginger liquor
1 oz lime juice
2 2” springs fresh rosemary
Muddle one rosemary sprig in a ball jar. Add gin, ginger liquor, lime juice and four ice cubes. Shake vigorously. Pour into a martini glass, straining out muddled rosemary. Garnish with the second sprig of rosemary.
Rosemary Ginger Beer
Juice from one lime
1 Can Ginger Beer or Ginger Ale
2 2” springs rosemary
Squeeze ½ lime into each glass
Bruise rosemary sprigs with the back of a spoon to release some of the oils and flavor – add a sprig to each glass.
Add ice cubes and pour ginger soda over ice.
