Our 2012 Event Calendar

We’re planning a year of gardening and plant get togethers! Check in the store for details about the following weekend events:

February 11 & 12 “A Fresh Look At Houseplants” (This is not your grandmother’s African violet!) Seminars Saturday & Sunday 1 PM. Learn about our new houseplant club.

March 17 & 18 “The Best of Bonsai” Learn how to create, clip and care for Bonsai plants. A weekend of special sales, classes and demonstrations.

Four Sunday’s in Early Spring C.L. Fornari’s Home Gardeners Group March 18 & 25, April 1 & 15 Back by popular demand. Topics covered include seed starting, vegetables, garden design, landscape care do's and don’ts, great plants and more. Special coupons only for attendees. Cost is $100.00 for the series, advance registration required.

April 28 & 29 “Totally Tomatoes!” We’re devoting an entire weekend to every home gardener’s favorite crop. Seminars, informative exhibits and displays. Learn about tasty varieties, growing in ground or containers, problem solving and more.

May 5 & 6 “Water Garden Weekend” Opening your pond, water garden programs.

May 19 & 20 “Herb and Veggie Weekend” Cooking demos, kids’ projects and Q & A booth where you can have all your herb and vegetable questions answered.

June 9 & 10 “Proven Winners Weekend” Designing with Proven Winners plants! Come in to see demos and displays. Pick up information about the best PW plants for your garden. See the results of our Community Proven Winners Non-Profit Makeover contest.

June 23 & 24 “Fairy Gardening Days” Contests, workshops and seminars.

July 21 & 22 “Weed Weekend”  Yes, we’re celebrating the plants we love to hate. Enter your weeds to win a prize, learn about weed-smothering perennials and find out about great products that will help you win your war on weeds.

August 11 & 12 “Dog Days of Summer” Yes, we’re going to the dogs! Our annual celebration of man's best friend combined with summer blow-out sales. Details to follow...

September 22 & 23 “Homegrown Harvest Festival” Join us as we celebrate the garden’s bounty. Demonstrations, lectures and contests.

October 13 & 14 “Pumpkin Patch Weekend” Scarecrows, carving, totems and good eats. It’s all pumpkins, as we turn the garden center into a fun & tasty pumpkin patch.

October 20 & 21 “Fall Water Gardening Days” Prepare your pond for winter.

October 27 & 28 “Fall is For The Birds!” Bird feeding and bird watching.

November 16, 17, 18 “Holiday Open House” Join us for family night, all-weekend displays and hands-on workshops and demonstrations.
